In her campaign ads, you’re going to hear Robyn Carnes call herself an “independent voice.” But don’t just take her word for it — dig deep into her record, which shows…
Robyn Carnes is as extreme as it gets.
Carnes has donated to, and is receiving money from, anti-abortion activists — even though extremists regularly try to ban abortion in Colorado.
Republican extremists have already tried multiple times to criminalize abortion in Colorado and have pledged to keep trying.
Robyn Carnes has donated to anti-abortion activists and received their money and endorsements — so there’s a very real risk that she’d be another hard-line vote for criminalizing abortion in our state.

Robyn Carnes refused to acknowledge that the 2020 election wasn’t stolen.
When Robyn Carnes was asked directly whether she agreed with Donald Trump’s baseless claims of fraud in the 2020 election, she refused to answer the question, and instead said this: “we must … work hard to ensure that all elections are fair. And if there is room for doubt, let’s get to the root of that to erase and eliminate that doubt.”

If we can’t trust Carnes to stand up to Donald Trump’s attacks on our democracy, how can we trust her to stand up for us in the State Senate?
Carnes continued to stand with Trump even after he was convicted of 34 felonies — and she has close ties with some of the most extreme MAGA Republicans in Colorado.
Shortly after Trump was convicted of several felony fraud counts, Carnes was asked if she’s still supporting Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. This time, she gets some credit for at least answering the question: “I’m not going to lie. Yes, I am.”

It’s not just Trump — Carnes has built her political career by working with the most extreme politicians in the state.
She was paid thousands of dollars to fundraise for failed MAGA Republican gubernatorial candidate Heidi Ganahl, who famously spread a ridiculous false conspiracy theory about kids identifying as cats in school.[TRACER campaign finance records]
She personally donated to the campaign of Schumé Navarro, a former local school board candidate who spent years promoting QAnon and also spread election fraud conspiracies on social media.[TABOR campaign finance records, Colorado Times Recorder, 8/30/21]
Carnes’ state senate campaign is enthusiastically backed by Republican leaders who are far outside the political mainstream — including several, such as GOP Chair Dave Williams, who have openly suggested Coloradans engage in hateful and potentially violent acts.[Colorado Times Recorder, 9/12/24]
Carnes has pledged to roll back common-sense gun safety restrictions that were enacted after tragic mass shootings in our state.
Among other fringe positions, Carnes has pledged to repeal basic background check requirements.

She also signed a pledge to oppose any future attempts to keep dangerous individuals from getting easy access to guns — and earned earned the endorsement of the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, a famously extreme super PAC that only backs the most extreme anti-gun-safety candidates in Colorado.
